Here we present the result of Ele.Zissou's artwork, which she performed for the Wallspot’s Wall Lab artistic programme.
Due to the health crisis surrounding COVID-19, this latest edition of Wall Lab has been carried out with a slightly different artistic selection format. During the lockdown, from Wallspot we launched an Instagram contest: Wallspot En Casa. Through this, Wallspot artists were invited to present a sketch and post it on their profile including the hashtag #WallspotEnCasa. At the end of the contest, Wallspot selected the 3 winning proposals, thus inviting 3 different artists to participate in this latest edition of Wall Lab.
Once the alarm state ended, @ele.zissou, together with Borneo Modofoker and Roc Blackblock, captured their works on a wall located in Sant Andreu, Barcelona. (c / Clot 228).
Elena González, better known as Ele.Zissou, is an illustrator, designer and photographer. She was born in Salamanca and while studying graphic design she found her passion in the illustration of characters. Her style, full of small creatures, has led her to create a wild universe and at the same time full of magic and tenderness.
On this occasion she painted a 3m high by 6 wide work, in which you can see a group of animals and objects, always loyal to her style. These characters depict tenderness but at the same time can generate a sense of concern or curiosity to the viewer, since their faces are neutral, making it more difficult for them to read their expression.
This piece, titled Stay Wild, will have a one-year permanence, since the Wall Lab project aims to make different spaces available to artists where they can develop their artistic projects, and receive a greater visibility due to its durability.
