are celebrating a new edition of TRAVEL THE WALL!
You can find below the call for artists to apply for the TRAVEL THE WALL 2023 edition. But first of all, do you know what this initiative consists of?
Throughout 2023 we will organize one artist exchange between Barcelona and other European city: Cheltenham (United Kingdom). The call is open to all artists who live in Europa and are Wallspot users. Once closed, a Spanish artist and an English artist will be selected. Their task will be to create a mural work abroad:
The Spanish artist will participate in the Cheltenham Paint Festival to be held between 29th and 30th July 2023. This is a festival that consists of painting murals throughout the town during these days, there will also be workshops and music that will accompany the days.
The English artist will travel to Barcelona and will be one of the artists who will be part of the Wall Lab La Model 2023, during the 6th and 7th of October 2023.
The theme of the work is free choice and will be decided individually by the two artists before the mural is painted.
Wallspot and Cheltenham Paint Festival will cover the artists’ travel expenses, which will last between 2 and 3 days. You will find the detailed terms and conditions below.
Travel The wall is a proposal that aims to create an international network of urban art artists, to promote the recognition of the artists who are part of our platform and to generate international projects that make their talent visible.
This is an urgent call! If you want to participate, please fill in the form below and bear in mind that you must have an artwork from 2023 uploaded to your Wallspot user. The deadline for entries is 15 May.
