New LGTBIQ+ Jam Open Call

THERE IS NO HOME WITHOUT LGTBIQ+ RIGHTS

In Wallspot we cannot stop! This time, we celebrate diversity! In June there is the international day for the rights of the LGTBIQ+ collective, which will give rise to the LGTBIQ+ JAM with the aim to end discrimination, threats, aggressions and prejudices against the LGTBIQ+ community.

As in previous editions, we will count on the collaboration of an association that works in favour of the collective and that has knowledge and experience of the injustices that homosexual, bisexual, transsexual, transgender and other dissident identities must face. For this edition, we are honoured to collaborate with ACATHI, an association that works for the rights of refugees. Therefore, they will elaborate the artistic briefing that will give rise to the theme of the designs of the murals and of the day.

This year, the LGTBIQ+ JAM will be held on 18th of June at the Parc de les Tres Xemeneies (Barcelona). Two guest artists will participate at the event, and they will select, with the Wallspot tema, eight more artists through the open call (you can find it below). To apply, you must be registered as a Wallspot user and have uploaded murals to the platform in 2023.

The artists will be provided with 10 Montana Colors sprays and the action will be promoted with photos through our channels (web, social networks, newsletters, etc.) and our Media Partners.
The aim of this Jam is to create an event with the message that we all deserve to be treated equally and with respect, regardless of our sexual orientation or gender identity. We want a fair and just society where discrimination and intolerance have no place, there is no home without LGTBIQ+ rights!
