More than 150 interventions in a month of legal walls in Madrid!

The first month of legal walls in Madrid leaves us joy. In just four weeks we have registered more than 150 interventions in the two spaces provided by the City Council of Madrid: the almost 170 meters of the concrete wall on Doctor García Tapia Avenue, in Moratalaz and the two high sides of the street tunnel in José Paulete with Buenos Aires, in Puente de Vallecas.

Despite the cold, the rainy days of autumn and the pandemic, the dripping of bookings on the walls has been steady. For graffiti and urban artists based in Madrid, these are safe spaces where they can paint quietly, try out new techniques or share other people's tricks. For residents who walk daily in front of the walls, especially in Moratalaz, it is particularly curious to go and see the new interventions that take place every week at the foot of their houses.

Irrefutably, the two months of this project in Madrid will fall short for the reception that both the platform and the jams are having (new openings, Womart Madrid…).

For those who have not visited yet the walls of Madrid, they will be available until Sunday, January 10.
In addition, all users who upload a photo of their work in any of the two walls of the city will compete for a € 50 voucher to spend on painting materials at Montana Colors or at Writers Madrid. Only until January 7!
