Pride Day, the international day of LGTBIQ+ pride, is approaching, and that is why this June we will celebrate the LGTBIQ+ JAM. This makes us especially excited because it is part of the different actions that we will carry out to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Wallspot, this 2022.
This year we will collaborate with GAG, a social association that works for the visibility, legal advice and support to lesbian, gay, trans, bisexual and intersex people. We have raised the visibility of older people as the theme for the JAM joining the campaign that the association will develop during the month of Pride in social networks. The LGTBIQ+JAM aims to make visible the work of artists of the collective in an artistic day.
This is not only a JAM, but a project that aims to claim the need to recognize and make visible the LGTBIQ+ collective in the visual arts and promote equality within the urban art sector.
LGTBIQ+JAM will be held next Sunday June 19th on the walls of Tres Xemeneies. The call is open to all artists registered on the platform, who have painted on the Wallspot walls between 2019 and 2022. Two Guest Artists will participate in this event, who will be in charge of selecting the 8 artists, among all those registered, who will have the opportunity to participate in this JAM.
Montana Colors will provide the material for the participants to develop their works, and in addition, each intervention will be documented with images and disseminated in our communication channels (web, social networks, newsletter) and those of our Media Partners.
If you are interested in participating in the LGTBIQ+ JAM, you only have to fill out the REGISTRATION FORM.
